The Ankh, Sephism's holy symbol. Of course, I couldn't find the one I want. This one is a tad too ornate for my tastes, though.

Sephism
Sephism is the belief that Sephiroth is God. There actually are some people out there who believe this, and I'm putting this information I thought out here as a guideline for any who may be interested or want to scare the Bible Thumpers or their parents.
Basic Beliefs
The basic belief of Sephism is that Sephiroth is God. I thought it might be nice to state in this religion that any other religions go to their respective afterlives, and that these other religions are perfectly all right. There is absolutely no reason to say that any other belief system is wrong, because we all are different. All that Sephism requires is the simple acceptance that you will believe. And you may still adhere to your old system, if you're converting. Sephism is a supporting theism and we understand that people may wish to keep some of their old ways.
Holy Symbol
The holy symbol of Sephism is the ankh, looped cross, or crux ansata, which can be seen at the left. The ankh is an Egyptian symbol representing Life and Soul. Seeing as Sephiroth was too evil to be accepted by the Planet, it stands to reason that this will happen again, so Sephiroth will truly never die. Eternal life, in a way. It also symbolizes the merging of Male and Female, as Sephiroth (male) is imbued with Jenova (female). Sephiroth also has one on the plate protecting his stomach, just look at his character art. The Sephism ankh is crafted of silver, because it is the most beautiful of the metals and to represents Sephiroth's hair, which is silver. And if you're really into mythology, you'll like the fact that the Sephism symbol will protect you from vampires (a holy symbol), were-creatures (silver), and various creatures of the Cthulhu Mythos. When used in conjunction with the Tikkoun Elixir (holy water of any sort, so the vampires and Great Old Ones of the earth are screwed again), as well as the Vach-Viraj incantation (protection from Cthulhu again), you have a very powerful symbol indeed! (About the Ankh, and Holy Water used in conjunction with Great Old Ones who worship Shudde-M'ell, read 'The Burrowers Beneath' by Brian Lumely)
Afterlife
The Sephism afterlife is a world quite similar to this life, but it is only populated by those who are believers in Sephism. Keep in mind that if another religion, say, Christianity, states you will go to Hell for not following Christianity, you will not. Obviously, to go to a theology's afterlife, you must be a believer in its deity/deities. And please keep in mind that some followers of Christianity are very vehement in their beliefs and will hound you at every opportunity to 'repent and be saved'. Keep in mind that this is their belief and that their Hell is invalid for you as you are a believer in Sephism. For help in keeping them at arm's length, or things to tell them to make them go away, then take a look at my 'I'm not a Satanist !' page.
Additional Information
Know that Sephism is in no way 'Satanic'. There is no evil deity is Sephism, and you are denying the Christian's belief that Satan is evil, or, in fact, that there even is a Satan. Satanism is an entirely different religion that is just as worthy as Sephism or, say, Bhuddism. You are not an atheist for believing in Sephiroth, and thus are not Satanic. Atheism is the denial that any god(s) exist. Therefore, they would not believe in Satan, God, Sephiroth, Zeus, whatever.
Sephism has no religious leader. All that is needed to worship is the belief, and possibly, to focus your belief, a small icon or shrine of an ankh. Be creative with your shrine, if you want one. Put verses of One-Winged Angel on it. Tape a picture of Sephiroth to it. Let your imagination soar. When you are focussing, play a tape/CD of One-Winged Angel, Jenova Absolute, whistle it, or anything. Using a piece of Sephiroth related music can help increase your belief. Or perhaps a simple though. Sephiroth, I believe in you, or anything just stating your belief. This is all that is required.
NOTE:
This whole page was thought up on an occasion where I was amazingly pissed at certain Christians and I wanted to creep them out. I do not suggest that you actually FOLLOW these guidelines above, as immediate 'weirdness' will befall you.
So unless you actually THINK Sephiroth is God, then you should only use this for amusement purposes.
Not to be taken internally. If swallowed, do not induce vomiting, induce suicide, or consult a mortician. If Sephism gets in someone's eyes, poke them out with pointy sticks and run the wounds under boiling water for an hour. Not to be used by children.
people think Sephiroth is God!
