The Witches' Rune

The Witches' Rune is a power-raising chant written by Doreen Valiente, one of Gerald Gardner's High Priestesses. A power-raising chant is one that is sung repeatedly while dancing in a circle with others (or by yourself) to raise occult energy. There are many versions of it, but the one I like best is presented here. I altered it slightly, as I don't know anyone who uses Cords or a Scourge, and changed it appropriately.

Darksome night and shining Moon,
East then South, West then North,
Hearken to the Witches' Rune,
Hear! Come! I call thee forth!
By all the powers of Land and Sea,
Wand and Pentacle and Sword,
Be obedient unto me,
Hearken ye unto my word!
Chalice and Censer, Staff and Knife,
Powers of the Witches' Blade,
Waken all ye into life,
Come ye as the Charge is made!
Queen of Heaven, Queen of Hell,
Hornéd Hunter of the night,
Send your aid unto the spell,
Work my will by magic rite!
By all the power of Land and Sea,
By all the might of Moon and Sun,
As I do say, 'So mote it be!',
As I do will, it shall be done!

Eko, Eko, Azarak, Eko, Eko, Zamilak,
Eko, Eko, Cernunnos, Eko, Eko, Aradia.

The last two lines are supposed to be repeated three times. The first, Eko, Eko, Azarak, Eko, Eko, Zamilak, is nonsense, but the second, Eko, Eko, Cernunnos, Eko, Eko, Aradia, has the names Gardner used for the God (Cernunnos) and Goddess (Aradia). If you use different name that fit the meter, go ahead and change it. The 'éd' in 'Hornéd Hunter' is pronounced like the name 'Ed'. Just clearing things up :P
